The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regards to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area status sassa regularly.
